The College of Social Science is seeking to appoint a Senior Research Officer for the College. The role will involve assisting the College to increase its collaborative research and impact activities with partners within and beyond the University, as well as providing effective and efficient support to for a range of research activities including the College Research Excellence Framework (REF) submissions. 

Working with the College Director of Research and the new Pro Vice Chancellor, you will join our thriving College Executive Office, supporting six schools (Education, Health & Social Care, Law, Psychology, Social & Political Sciences and Sports & Exercise Science). You will be a team player, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, and have a keen eye for attention to detail. You will be expected to show initiative and be proactive in working with academic colleagues across all our Schools in developing opportunities to initiate, and support, new research ideas and proposals. Knowledge of research funding, experience of supporting collaborative projects and a working knowledge of the REF rules are desirable. The right candidate should have excellent organisational skills and be able to work to tight and conflicting deadlines.
