Company details: LiveBuzz is a leading provider of event technology and operational services to the global event sector. LiveBuzz core areas of expertise are data management, registration services, event website design and onsite registration delivery. Project aims: The overall aim of the Project is to play a key role in providing the Company access to the capability on smart devices and intelligent systems when using Machine learning and systems engineering techniques. The role: With the support of specialists within Birmingham City University and the Company the successful candidate will be responsible for: Developing smart devices using electronic engineering advanced techniques Develop intelligent adaptive systems capabilities Lead on the design, development and implementation of the project Liaising with Company key customers and internal stakeholders providing system implementation support Ability to transfer and disseminate the project knowledge Requirements: Ability to design and develop hardware construction and prototyping using advanced electronic engineering techniques Ability to create advanced machine learning algorithms Candidates should be able to work independently and as part of a team Honours Degree (at least 2.1) in an appropriate Computing and Engineering discipline There is an opportunity for a further degree leading from this project — either an MPhil or a PhD leading from an existing MSc. Location: While the successful applicant will spend the majority of their time working at the offices of LiveBuzz in Coventry, they will also be required to spend periods of time at Birmingham City University at Millennium Point, Birmingham.
