GP Clinical Teaching Fellow (A2495)

Lancaster Medical School seeks to appoint one or more GP Clinical Teaching Fellows. The appointee/s will be clinically qualified and currently practising as a general practitioner.  

There are currently up to four clinical sessions per week available to cover clinical teaching sessions to Y4 students. These can be offered according to curriculum requirements and your preference/availability.

You will work in collaboration with the other GP Clinical Teaching Fellows, Senior Academic GPs, and staff in Lancaster Medical School, GP practices and local community groups and organisations to support and deliver primary care orientated courses for medical students. GPs who have experience of undergraduate teaching, and are interested in getting involved to teach and develop the medical course at Lancaster, are welcome to apply.

You will be involved in delivering small group teaching to Y4 students across the academic year. In addition, you will be involved in quality assurance of placements, assessment processes, and in the full scholarly activity of a thriving Medical School. 

The curriculum requires teaching to be delivered on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays with the exact configuration can be negotiated with the successful applicant or applicants.
