The Department of Psychology are looking to appoint a dynamic and motivated individual to deliver proactive and professional administrative support within the Technical and Research Resources team.  

The role would suit a candidate with previous administration experience, who is keen to engage in professional development.  You will be enrolled on a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship course, which will on average account for 20% of the working week for up to 18 months.  This training may require independent travel to the off-site training provider.  

This is a varied role, which supports both staff and students within the Department.  

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate the following:
• Previous experience in an administration role
• Good communication and IT skills
• Experience of delivering a high level of customer service to a variety of stakeholders
• The ability to work as part of a team and to work independently

Experience of data entry and the use of databases would also be an advantage.

The Technical and Research Resources team sit within the busy teaching and research active Psychology Department. This is home to a friendly group of over 40 Academic staff; 17 Researchers; and 17 support staff, supporting a large cohort of Undergraduate students; a thriving group of Masters and Postgraduate research students; and a wide range of research projects including several cross-institution grants.
