Description :

An opportunity has arisen within the University’s Department of Biology and Biochemistry for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Teaching Fellow in Plant Genomics and Biotechnology.

Teaching responsibilities will include the delivery of lectures, seminars, workshops and tutorials within our well established Biology and Biochemistry programmes. This will also involve the development of some new teaching materials.

Applicants should hold a first degree and a postgraduate qualification related to Plant Biology.

You must be a strong team player, able to work on your own initiative within a dynamic environment to meet the needs of highly able students. A track record in the delivery of a high quality student learning experience is desirable but not essential.

This position is full time and is offered on a temporary basis to cover the teaching and marking for semester 2.  The successful applicant would ideally be available for an immediate start in January 2019 for a fixed term period ending on 31 July 2019.
