Description :

Based around an ethos bringing together Art, Research and Adventure, year-round programmes at The Edge and Andrew Brownsword Gallery are co-ordinated by the University of Bath’s Office for the Arts including exhibitions, performing arts presentations, talks, arts classes, family and community events.

The Office for the Arts organises programmes for both public and campus engagement.

We are seeking a welcoming and confident individual with front of house and/or customer facing experience to join our visitor services team at campus venues The Edge and Andrew Brownsword Gallery.

Working to the instruction of The Edge’s Visitor Services Co-ordinator, you will support the ticketing, invigilation, ushering and information providing aspects of venue life granting a tangible welcome experience for users and visitors. It is an important time for The Edge and Andrew Brownsword Gallery as we develop an arts and science brand for public engagement purposes, whilst maintaining a supportive ecosystem for campus arts users. From wayfinding to mediation the Visitor Services Assistant will support an environment that interfaces effectively with user and audience needs, often acting as a first point of contact.

Alongside the colleagues the role works to ensure The Edge and Andrew Brownsword Gallery are public facing spaces with a renowned welcome experience, working with programming colleagues to contribute positively to arts provision and research engagement objectives as well as with operational colleagues in hosting a wide variety of events.
