Cleaner/Porter (CC6340)

The Edge is the University’s busy arts building, with a range of specialist and multi-purpose spaces for arts activities including performances, exhibitions and rehearsals, as well as academic teaching, conferences, meetings and catering. 

We are looking to recruit a full-time Cleaner/Porter to join the Arts team.

Under the direction of the Facilities Co-ordinator you will be required to clean and maintain high standards of cleanliness within The Edge. You will also be required to undertake portering on occasions to support the full range of events in the building. This will include moving furniture between spaces and setting up rooms.

The successful candidate must have an awareness of Health and Safety issues, as well as a thorough, methodical but highly flexible attitude to work that is suited to a busy and fast-paced environment. You will be able to work independently and as well as part of a team.

The role requires flexibility and availability to work a variety of hours across building opening hours, 7 days per week, with a willingness to work evenings and weekends as required by business needs.
