Applications are invited for the post of Trainee Technician within the Biomedical Research Facility at Southampton General Hospital. With a reputation for excellence, the facility provides support for scientists carrying out medical research into areas such as cancer, osteoporosis, neurology, ophthalmology, asthma and nutrition. 

You will join a technician team and work between two units on the hospital site. You will participate in many aspects of the work including animal health and husbandry. The successful applicant would be given the opportunity to study for IAT qualifications by day release.

Applicants must be willing to work out of hours on a rota covering weekends, public holidays and university holidays.
