This position is an important one within the Department’s support activities.  You will lead in the delivery of technical support to undergraduate teaching practicals in these areas, and ensure the smooth running and day to day functioning of these labs and associated prep areas.


You will also provide cover for the routine maintenance, operation and demonstration of various sterilising equipment including hot air ovens and autoclaves used in the delivery of our teaching and research activities.


The successful candidate will also provide more general support for other molecular, cell and microbiological related activities within the Department. You will be working with other support staff, undergraduate and postgraduate students, academic and research staff.


The ideal candidate will have experience in technical support within a molecular or microbiological teaching and research environment.


Candidates with molecular and microbiology background or experience are encouraged to apply. Effective time-management skills, leadership and a flexible approach to work are essential.
