We are offering an exciting opportunity for somebody with suitable experience to join the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences as an Administrative Officer for the Fourth International Meeting on Internet & Audiology. This meeting is held every two years at different locations around the world, and we are delighted to be hosting it in Southampton in 2019.

 The successful candidate will provide support to the conference Organising Committee. This comprises a group of academics from around the world.
 
 Key accountabilities/primary responsibilities

Liaison with Organising Committee members, international conference delegates, University Events team, room booking, catering, expenses etcLiaison with media team, iSolutions (video conferencing and digital conference content)Preparation of conference materials eg abstract book, programme, name badges, signs, registration formsKeeping Organising Committee OneNote pages up to dateParticipation in Organising Committee video conferencing meetingsAttendance at conference: June 17-18 2019, Highfield Campus

Essential skills:

Experience of event/conference organisationInterest in and experience of technology including video conferencingPrevious work experience within an administrative or support role.Able to demonstrate knowledge of work systems, equipment processes and standard IT packages.Ability to produce clear, accurate and concise written documentation.Experience of analysing data and presenting summary information clearly.Able to independently solve a range of problems by responding to varying circumstances, whilst working within standard procedures.

Experience of providing advice on administrative procedures to colleagues and external customers.
