Description :

At Brighton we embrace individuality and encourage our students and staff to explore their passions and their curiosity.   Brighton Business School is committed to advancing responsible leadership practices underpinned by a strong base of ethical and professional values.  This is coupled with an ambitious strategy to become a world-leading business school backed by AACSB recognition.

We are seeking to appoint a lecturer who can contribute to teaching economics on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes which offer a variety of economics modules and electives.  We particularly welcome applications from candidates with a strong quantitative background and those who have experience of, and the ability to teach, econometrics, microeconomics, behavioural economics and macroeconomics.

Applicants will demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and an innovative approach to delivering the curriculum. Ideally, you will have experience of Higher Education, including module leadership, a clear research record or course leadership experience; however, applications from candidates with senior professional experience seeking to move to a career in education will also be welcome.

We have a strong commitment to developing highly-employable graduates. A key asset is our dedicated placements operation, with many students gaining placements at leading companies.

We are ranked in the top 5 UK business schools for the impact of our research. The economics and finance subject group is actively engaged in research and publication, with particular strengths in trade and development; labour, education and environmental economics; socio-economic impact studies and mathematical modelling.
