Description :

STEM Sussex is the University of Brighton's STEM Outreach programme, working in partnership with employers and schools to engage and inspire young people about science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).

You will have good project and event coordination or assistance skills, and the ability to manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. A strong focus on customer service delivery is required, and you will be comfortable engaging with STEM Sussex service users and external partners to promote the projects and activities of STEM Sussex.

You'll be part of a small, friendly hard-working team, and will support key STEM projects and events aimed at encouraging young people to consider STEM-based careers. These include ‘Big Bang Fair’ which in 2018 was attended by over 10,000 young people and their teachers, making it the largest regional Big Bang Fair in the UK.The role includes occasional travel around Sussex and Surrey, so access to your own car or a willingness to use public transport would be helpful.

If you have the skills, experience to add value to this team and the programme, then we would love to hear from you.

This post is fixed-term until 31 July 2019 and the successful candidate will be asked to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure Certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

We welcome applications from ethnic minorities that are currently under-represented, applications from job sharers are welcome.
