Your experience will support our day-to-day work in getting the University, its specialist commentators, campaigns and success stories the most prominent coverage possible across national, local and international online, broadcast and print media. Your skills will help us to deliver an exciting range of high profile events aimed at drawing the attention of the media and a range of influencers to the University. Your role will also play a big part in supporting the University’s public affairs and corporate social responsibility activities, working with, among others, the West Midlands Combined Authority and our Chosen Charities. Playing a senior role in our External Relations team, the successful applicant will have proven experience of driving proactive and creative media relations engagement, as well as responding effectively to crisis situations.  Superb written skills are essential as the successful applicant will need to produce persuasive and engaging content as well as to offer advice and support as needed to the wider team, ensuring journalists receive quality and relevant material they can readily use.
