Category: Academic | Faculty/Division: Faculty of Health, Education and Life Sciences | School: School of Nursing and Midwifery | Department: Pre-Qualifying Practice | Location: City South Campus | Post Type: Full Time | Closing Date: 18 Feb 2019 | An exciting opportunity exists for a committed, passionate and engaging Full Time Senior Lecturer/Senior Teaching Fellow Nursing Associate You will participatein designing, developing and delivering taught content across the Foundation Degree Science Nursing Associate course. You will also contribute fully in designing and implementing the new NMC Standards for education and training and therefore will need to evidence significant experience in educational design, delivery, especially around apprenticeships. You will also be expected to contribute to our research and scholarly activities and play a role in supporting our trainees in the practice environment. You will have experience of supporting higher/ degree apprenticeships. Ideally, you should hold a higher degree, and possess a first degree in a related subject. Your portfolio should demonstrate on-going personal and professional development and appropriate study around nursing, education, apprenticeships and evidenced based practice. You will be required to demonstrate relevant and current experience of supporting undergraduate students/trainees in clinical and educational settings. Applicants must hold current registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse (Part 1). Previous teaching experience in a Higher Education setting is essential.
