We are currently seeking a dedicated professional to join our team of Student Support and Guidance Tutors (SSGTs). This role offers you the opportunity of making a genuine and tangible difference to the university and learning experience of our students.

SSGTs enhance student engagement and retention by providing non-judgmental, 1 on 1 help and support on a range of issues. As well as sign posting to a range of centralised services you will be comfortable providing emotional support to students. You will be responsible for promoting your service to staff and students, including representing the service during induction week and be a key link between the school and Student Operations and Support. As an SSGT you will be expected to log student enquiries and interactions on the SID online database and produce year-end reports.

As a member of the SSGT team you will be managed by Student Operations and Support and located within The School of Humanities. The successful candidate will work with students in the School based in the Pavilion Parade building at our Grand Parade Campus.

The working hours will be over four days but the actual days of attendance are negotiable (although fixed once agreed).  Interviews will be held on 27 February.
