You will be involved in the wide ranging operational and development activities of the Core Services team. Your primary responsibilities will be to contribute to, and lead on the day-to-day operation and service improvement of core enterprise-level IT services. These are made up of operating system platforms, infrastructure and applications. You will also contribute to IT projects, contributing to the development of new IT services and their associated infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong documentation and communication skills, as well as significant practical experience in an IT operations and development role within IT. Evidence of logical analysis of systems, problem determination and diagnosis is essential. You will have in-depth technical knowledge of Windows systems and knowledge of one or more applications e.g. Windows Server management (including patching management,) Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, ADFS, Office 365, Citrix, Lync. Experience in scripting (e.g. PowerShell) and web services (e.g. Internet Information Server) would be an advantage.

The post is offered to internal candidates only and is suitable as a personal development opportunity within a central IT role. This is a full time post and is fixed term until 31st July 2019 as it is to cover a period of leave due to an internal secondment. Job sharers are welcome to apply
