Assistant Professor in Public Health (Fixed-term, maternity cover) (MED037119)

Applications are invited for the role of Assistant Professor in Public Health in the Division of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Nottingham, based at Nottingham City Hospital Campus.

The purpose of this role is to provide high quality teaching and contribute to the planning, design and development of objectives and materials for our highly successful Masters in Public Health and Masters in Public Health (Global Health) courses. 

You will have the unique opportunity to lead the design, development and delivery of two newly formed postgradaute introductory modules on public health and research methods. You will also lead modules on health promotion and sociological aspects of health and illness, and supervise postgraduate dissertations. 

As a people-orientated individual you will have the ability to influence and engage collaboratively with students and staff within and external to the Division of Epidemiology and Public Health. Through the core postgraduate teaching team, you will receive support and mentoring you need to thrive in this role. This fixed-term post is available from 1 March 2019 until 30 April 2020. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week) however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week).
