We seek to appoint a highly motivated individual to this research project funded by Versus Arthritis (formerly ARUK). The post holder will be working on the project: The role of Agrin loss in the establishment and treatment of OA pain. The work will combine primary neuron culture models, molecular cell biology and the use of microfluidic chambers for the investigation of axonal development and neuronal function. 

Candidates must hold a minimum of HNC in a relevant subject, or equivalent qualifications plus considerable work experience in a relevant role. Candidates must have excellent cell biology skills and the ability to culture mouse dorsal root ganglia primary neurons in compartmentalised microfluidic devices. Specifically, evidence of substantial experience in fluorescent microscope imaging using primary neurons is required. 

This full-time fixed-term post is available from 1 March 2019 until 31 August 2020. Job share arrangements may be considered.
