We are looking for an energetic, innovative person with an enthusiasm for science to join the Department of Physics (http://www.bath.ac.uk/departments/department-of-physics/) as a fixed-term Teaching Fellow. The appointee will perform a variety of teaching tasks, including lecturing to undergraduate students at a range of levels, running personal tutorials and problems classes, supervising and assessing undergraduate research projects, and assisting in supervising students within the teaching laboratories (experimental and/or computational).
You should have a higher degree in physics or a closely-related discipline and be able to meet all the essential criteria outlined in the job description. You must also have a strong commitment to high-quality teaching, the ability to motivate students and enjoy working as part of a team.
This is a full-time, fixed-term post available until end of January 2020.
Both the Department and the University are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive working environment. We are working to improve the present gender balance within the Department, and particularly welcome applications from women, who are currently under-represented in academic posts.
Informal enquiries about the post can be made to Dr Frances Laughton (Director of Teaching and Resources), f.r.laughton@bath.ac.uk, +44 (0)1125 384361).
