Head of Department of Engineering and Design (CAE18-06)

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the new Department of Engineering and Design, within our School of Creative Arts and Engineering. An experienced and highly capable academic and manager, your industry and research experience will inform your work with a broad range of disciplines. 

The Department includes Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Aeronautical and Transport Engineering; Ceramics, Product, 3D, Graphic, Illustration, Fashion and Surface Pattern Design programmes. You will be a specialist from one of our taught subject areas, and alongside managing the Department, you will contribute to teaching at Undergraduate or Postgraduate level, continue to research, and be a member of the School Management Team.

You will have a clear vision for academic excellence and industry relevance, a keen eye for developments and opportunities across a range of academic fields, and an enthusiasm for collaboration across a connected curriculum.
