Staffordshire University is recruiting 2 Campus Security Team Leaders. We have 1 day and 1 night position available on a rota basis, although there may the requirement to work across both to support the needs of the business. We require a degree of flexibility as this role is part of a 24/7, 365 day service.

This is an exciting opportunity and a role like no other. The team plays a pivotal role in the health and safety of staff, students and visitors to the University, as well as providing traditional 24 hour security services. Most importantly, we provide support for students, working closely with wellbeing and other services across the university through our 24 hour provision. As team leader, you will be expected to provide direction to your team, managing their development and performance as well as making service based decisions day to day. You will play a key role in developing and fostering relationships both onsite and off campus in order for us to maintain a safe, secure environment. Successful candidates will have previous security or other relevant experience. We require exceptional levels of customer service, the ability to be diplomatic in conflict and empathise with individuals from a variety of backgrounds. You must have the ability to work in sometimes challenging situations, remaining calm and acting effectively. You will be a positive individual and committed team player, but with the ability to work independently and on your own initiative. We are looking for individuals with the ability to motivate, lead and who are not afraid to make risk based decisions. As a team we go beyond the traditional security boundaries and as an individual you must be highly skilled and flexible to deal with this challenging and varied role
