Description :

Do you know prescribing is changing? Nursing students will now be given a grounding in their pre-registration courses enabling them to undertake a prescribing course a year after qualifying.

Also the number of nurses, midwives and Allied Health Professionals prescribing is increasing to meet modern healthcare needs - for example paramedics in GP surgeries. We are looking for a pharmacist to take forward our future nurses journey.

We are looking for someone like you to join us as a senior lecturer in the College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare (CNMH).

You will be leading the development, management and delivery of pharmacology and prescriber content within nursing and healthcare modules and courses.

As a member of the Academic team, you will assist in the development of the professional, academic, research and scholarly profile of pharmacology within CNMH.

So where will you be working?

The College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare delivers healthcare courses across Berkshire and London and has a wide ranging CPD provision. We partner with a large number of healthcare organisations in the private, voluntary and independent sector.

The College has two main sites of delivery and this post would involve working across both locations:

Brentford (London) – https://www.uwl.ac.uk/about-us/our-location/brentford-site

Reading (Berkshire) –https://www.uwl.ac.uk/about-us/our-location/berkshire-institute-health

Delivery on healthcare organisation sites across Berkshire and London may also be required.

You need to have a Healthcare related Masters award and Teaching qualification and it would be beneficial to us, but not a requirement if you are a Registered Independent Prescriber with a publication record.

If this sounds like the role for you, please do apply today.

Everyone will get a response.
