Porter (ECSR18-09)

Staffordshire University is recruiting two porters for the facilities management team.

The post-holders will work shifts between the hours of 5am and 10pm, working up to 5 shifts over a 7-day week. We require a degree of flexibility regarding the shift hours outlined above, particularly during our busy events season.The portering team are responsible for all moves and events set up across the university, including office moves, intake, graduation, conferences, archiving etc, as well as management of the warehouse. This is a physically demanding role involving lifting, carrying and moving on a daily basis, with sometimes large and difficult items. Successful candidates will have previous experience in a similar role, be flexible and proactive, as well as having previous experience of providing excellent customer service. A full clean driving licence is essential. You will be a committed team player, but with the ability to work independently and on your own initiative.
