Maintenance Assistant (ECSR18-06)

Staffordshire University is looking to appoint a competent and innovative individual to make, install and undertake minor repairs to furniture and fittings, to carry out minor plumbing works e.g. unblocking sinks and shower traps and to complete minor redecoration and reactive repairs. 

Under the supervision of a Team Leader, the successful candidate will undertake Compliance/Safety visual checks and asset surveys as requested to areas which may include Plant Rooms and Laundry Areas. 

As part of the University’s buildings maintenance team, you will ensure the team maintains its focus on delivering key University objectives and adopt a proactive, customer focused approach in the delivery of services which support high quality environments for students, staff and other stakeholders. A key requirement will be the ability to support the in-house team, ensuring the University delivers the very best service levels and a strong engagement to cultural and behavioural change.
