Nottingham University Business School – OLIO Exchange Ltd
Applicants are invited to apply for the above role which is a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between University of Nottingham (NUBS) and OLIO. The objective of the project is to understand, model and predict food sharing behaviour of users through the application of data analytics. This exciting new position will influence immediate tactical changes for growth of the OLIO food sharing network and help reduce food waste across the UK.
You will be employed by the N/Lab, University of Nottingham but will be based at OLIO Exchange Ltd, London.
Qualifications we require as a minimum
A minimum of a 2.1 degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or relevant subject discipline. A post graduate degree is essential to cover the range of concepts/disciplines the project involves.The successful candidate must possess
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Written and verbal communication needs to be clear, well-structured and easy to understand. Strong prioritisation, organisation & time management skills with a drive to lead and deliver the project. Awareness and understanding of the commercial drivers Awareness and appreciation of commercial driversEssential skills we require as a minimum
Working knowledge of SQL and Python or R Competence in machine learning approaches Basic familiarity with network analysis techniquesDesirable skills
Knowledge of network analysis software packages e.g. NetworkX Python or Pajek A grounding in social science research methods Experience of using or analysing food sharing/food waste/food poverty/or any sharing economy applicationsAbout OLIO Exchange Ltd
