You are invited to apply for the post of Laboratory Stores and Facilities Assistant to give basic support to several research groups based at Southampton General Hospital.

A team-player, you will have good numeracy/literacy skills and previous experience of working in a laboratory environment would be desirable. You will be responsible for receiving/signing for deliveries and carrying out a range of routine laboratory duties. The post will require manual handling so an understanding/experience of manual handling would be desirable.

You will be required to assist in the receipt and distribution of laboratory orders ensuring items are stored correctly and to follow procedures to ensure stock of goods and equipment are sufficient to meet working requirements. To log deliveries and goods distributed from stock and ensure that records are kept up to date and accurate using electronic means. Please see the job description attached for further details.
