Description :

Do you have a sharp attention to detail and enjoy working with data? Would you like to work with clinicians to improve placements for medical students?

You will establish a small project looking at medical student feedback on their clinical placements. We know that receiving feedback is a powerful tool in enhancing the quality of placements. By directly providing placement teams and individuals with this positive feedback in short reports, we will reinforce good practice and support teams to self-evaluate their teaching.

We expect this feedback to motivate placement staff, provide confidence for teaching and to consolidate educational engagement in context with our curricula, thereby increasing capacity and enhancing capability of dispersed faculty. We’ve already observed from letters of thanks sent to clinicians that this sort of communication is powerful and results in improved engagement with the School.

Experience of quality assurance in education and/or health including designing and developing a quality assurance programme is essential. You will also have a health or social science degree (or equivalent level of qualification) with relevant health and/or education experience to support this project;
