The Faculty of Science and Technology is a community of eight departments comprising approximately 2,500 students, 600 staff and 340 PhD students. We work in partnership with businesses and other science and technology users so that our research and teaching makes a demonstrable difference to the economy and society. 

The Faculty of Science and Technology at Lancaster University provides businesses with an extensive range of ways of accessing the technical expertise of Lancaster University’s students through internships, year in industry placements and project work.

You will work closely with the current Student Employability Manager and Operations Manager to develop new ways of enhancing student employability for Undergraduates and Postgraduates.  This will include continuing to build on the successful Faculty Internship Programme, now entering its seventh year, the Psychology Employability Programme and the annual Science and Technology Careers Fair, but will also seek to develop the employability offer across new faculty activity including the Year in Industry Programme and targeted support for Postgraduate students.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential.This is a varied and demanding position where creative thinking, problem solving and attention to detail are required.

This role is fixed term for 12 months to cover maternity leave.
