We are based in the heart of Birmingham at the prestigious Millennium Point, part of our extensive city Centre campus where we deliver a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses as well as having a well-established portfolio of overseas delivery partners. We are a Faculty with ambitious growth plans, it is an exciting time to join us! You will be responsible for leading a team who will deliver a high quality administrative service to the school in line with our student lifecycle, you will be working closely with students, academic colleagues, professional services groups and external stakeholders ensuring compliance with University regulations, policies and procedures. Specific areas of responsibility will be to oversee; the efficient and professional running of the student facing school office, school travel and purchasing requests, events planning and tasks that support the responsibilities of the course administration function within the school. Additionally, you will report to and work closely with the Head of School, providing an executive support function including diary management, support with planning key events, arranging and servicing school based committees. The work you undertake will positively contribute to the experience that our staff and students receive. You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) and it is essential that you have proven experience in a leadership role with a real emphasis on people and resource management, Higher Education experience is desirable but not essential. It is essential to demonstrate experience of working effectively with and supporting senior stakeholders. It is a requirement of the role to have experience working within a pressurised environment, being able to work successfully to set deadlines and contractual requirements. A high standard of IT competency and customer service experience is essential. Additionally you will demonstrate your ability to influence others, manage change effectively and have a solutions focused approach to leadership. Beyond that, your ability to act as a team player, demonstrate intellectual curiosity and to manage your own workload will be what sets you apart.
