The University has a key internationalisation agenda which is both looking to increase the appeal and reach of the university on an international platform, attracting the right students to enable an International dynamic and culture on campus. In addition, this agenda will support our UK students to engage and develop internationally

This role will work as an integral member of the award winning Careers & Employability Team, working towards our continued success in supporting all of our students and graduates into meaningful graduate level employment, achieving their full potential and meeting their aspirations. 

The successful candidate will have a specialist caseload and remit to provide appropriate Careers Education and guidance for our International Student cohort, through the provision of an employer engaged and employer led careers and employability service. 

The role will have a responsibility to support our growing number of International students from all disciplines, in their career planning and development, through delivery of one to one advice and guidance, group work/ lectures and the delivery and development of appropriate and impactful careers education programmes. 

The role will also be required to support the development and initiation of any international careers & employability projects, and act in a consultative capacity to both staff and employer partners, in the development of careers education and opportunities for International students respectively. 

Working across all key stakeholders will be integral to the success of this role. These include International Students (and Graduates), Employers (from regional to global), and staff (academics and support staff e.g. Student Support and the English Language Centre). 

This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Tier 2.
