Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the laboratory of Dr Helen Nuttall (https://www.lancaster.ac.uk/psychology/about-us/people/helen-nuttall) in the Department of Psychology, Lancaster University, UK. The post is funded by the BBSRC, and will investigate how age-related hearing loss affects the brain networks involved in speech perception. This position is available for 4 years, starting as soon as possible. 

We are seeking a highly motivated neuroscientist to implement our plan of work. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for speech and/or hearing research, and experience in brain stimulation and/or brain imaging.

You will join Dr Nuttall’s Neuroscience of Speech and Action Lab (NoSA Lab). The NoSA Lab is based in the Whewell Research Building, and is equipped with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (single-pulse, paired-pulse, and repetitive stimulators), Brainsight neuronavigation, an electromyography suite, and an electroencephalography suite capable of cortical and subcortical recordings, all of which are fully-integrated with the TMS (https://www.lancaster.ac.uk/psychology/research/labs/neuroscience-of-speech-and-action-laboratory/). Magnetic Resonance Imaging is also available via the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, which is 10 minutes away from Lancaster University.
