The University’s dynamic Communications, Development & Marketing department is seeking an Events Assistant to join its team to play support in student attraction and recruitment activities and to contribute to the continuing success of the university.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and skilled events professional to play a key role within the University’s successful department of Communications, Development & Marketing.

As part of the Events Team, you will provide vital support to the event management process - undertaking the administration of event activity as well as assisting with key recruitment activities, public events and conferencing. This is a hands-on role where the post holder will support the planning, set-up, delivery and evaluation of events. 

Excellent team working skills are essential as the post holder will work closely with the Events Team in helping to create and deliver highly organised events, and also support other departments to deliver and maintain a high quality and professional service.

A demonstrable experience of administrative duties whilst supporting multiple activities within a busy environment is essential. The post holder will be a highly organised individual with a keen eye for detail, have the ability to solve problems and act on their own initiative with a passion for delivering high quality service. 

The post holder will have proven customer service skills and have the ability to communicate well both verbally and in written form and be confident in dealing with staff, students and members of the general public. The job will require the post holder to work flexibly, and in the evenings and at weekends.

This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Tier 2.
