The Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at the University of Bath is internationally recognised as a leading centre for teaching and research in Architecture. The Department wishes to appointment a part-time Teaching Fellow for the equivalent 0.12 of a full-time appointment. This equates to an average of 4.38 hours per week, to be worked in accordance with the teaching schedule.  

Applicants should have current HE teaching experience, with recent experience in teaching architecture, specifically in coordinating design studio units and coordinating joint architecture and civil engineering design projects. The successful applicant will contribute to undergraduate and PGT programmes offered by the Department, working with and inspiring some of the brightest students in the country. The role will include the design and delivery of high quality teaching material which is informed by significant experience gained via practice or research. The role may include the preparation of lectures, seminars and design projects along with supervision of dissertations, assessments and pastoral care of students. The jobholder is expected to display an attitude of collaboration and collegiality both with existing members of the Department and the wider community, and to contribute effectively to University wide developments and innovation in the design and delivery of teaching. There is no research component in this role.
