In this critical role you will be the main point of contact for the designated portfolio area/s, responsible for day to day HR operational issues and connecting these to wider strategic objectives.  To advocate best practice and provide advice and guidance, across the full HR remit, which effectively balances the individual employment rights of employees and the objectives of the University.

You will support the senior teams, tackling everything from employee relations and organisational development to legislation and policy. You will also work closely with trade unions, encouraging communication and proactive solutions.

To excel at this level you must be fully CIPD qualified or have substantial experience of providing advice to managers across a business. A generalist background means you will have the experience and confidence to be the main point of contact for your portfolio areas, responsible for day to day operational issues and connecting these to wider strategic objectives. You will advocate best practice, and provide advice, guidance and challenge to deliver pragmatic solutions to your area, which effectively balances the individual employment rights of employees and the objectives of the University.
