Description :

The University of Lincoln is embarking on an exciting partnership with the University of Nottingham to provide undergraduate medical education in Lincolnshire, at scale, for the first time. The first group of 95 medical students will begin their studies at the University of Lincoln’s Brayford Pool campus in September 2019, and the University is offering the opportunity for committed individuals to take up posts to help establish the teaching environment in the new medical school.

We wish to recruit two Principal Lecturers (one in Biochemistry/Molecular Medicine, and one in Pharmacology & Therapeutics) to join academic colleagues in across a range of disciplines (Anatomy, Physiology, Behavioural Science, and Public Health/Social Determinants of Health). In addition to leading the organisation and delivery of Biochemistry, Molecular Medicine and Pharmacology & Therapeutics across the programme of study, one of the appointees will be expected to take responsibility for the teaching of Immunology.

Working in existing modern facilities or newly-converted facilities until the new medical school building is complete in 2021, you will join a progressive, goal-oriented team of academic and professional services colleagues to deliver excellence in medical education and an outstanding student experience within the University of Nottingham’s Early Years and BMedSci medical curriculum model.

The University of Lincoln has an excellent reputation for providing an outstanding student experience, ranking 7th in the UK for overall satisfaction in the 2018 National Student Survey and 22nd overall in the Guardian University Guide 2019. Our modern campus sits beside the picturesque Brayford Pool marina, with views of the ancient castle and cathedral just beyond.
