Are you a dynamic and experienced Senior Service Designer with a passion for delivering exceptional customer-centred services across a large and complex technical environment?

The Information Services (IS) department is at the heart of delivering change to this global and increasingly digital community, delivering new models of educational services as well as transforming back office services.

Job Purpose

Information Services is seeking to invest in a passionate Senior Service Designer who will play an integral part in transforming the end-to-end user experience for services across the University. You will lead the design effort and set the vision for a product or service to create exceptional digital experiences. You will be responsible for planning and organising people, infrastructure, communication and material components of a service, in order to improve its quality and the interaction between the service provider and its customers.You will be an advocate for the customer-centric user experience and will drive UX awareness across this transforming organisation.                                                                                                                                     

Job Responsibilities 

You will undertake a strategic role leading on the development and implementation of overarching service design governance and principles on a global, University-wide basis. Reporting to the Head of User Experience, you will lead and champion the Service Design process on behalf of IS. You will develop new designs for UoN Services and introduce digital patterns and standards that scale. You will undertake a lead role promoting, upholding and challenging service design principles across teams and departments within Information Services and wider. You will ensure adherence to the strategic service design roadmap by the provision of specialist, user centred design advice and guidance.
