Category: Academic | Faculty/Division: Faculty of Health, Education and Life Sciences | School: School of Nursing and Midwifery | Department: Pre-Qualifying Practice | Location: City South Campus | Post Type: Full Time | Closing Date: 25 Mar 2019 |   The Faculty of Health, Education and Life Sciences are looking for a highly motivated individual for the position of Lecturer for the Foundation Degree in Health & Social Care – Maternity Support Worker Pathway (Higher Apprenticeship). The Faculty has very well established and recognised Foundation Degree suite of programmes. You will work closely with practice and university colleagues to support apprentices and the clinical learning facilitators in practice. You will also be expected to contribute to our research and scholarly activities. You will co-ordinate pathway modules on the course and contribute to core module teaching. Previous experience of supporting learners in the clinical/ care setting is essential, as you will be a personal tutor on this programme. This position requires applicants to be a Registered Midwife (NMC) and have experience of work based learning, possess a first degree  and ideally together with either a relevant higherdegree or appropriate professional qualifications at post graduate level.Previous teaching in a Higher Education setting would be desirable.
