Description :

The Department of Psychology at the University of Bath is completing a significant expansion. Research in the department occurs across more than six sub-disciplines in psychology, including clinical, cognitive, developmental, environmental, forensic, health, and social psychology.  We employ diverse methods in a new purpose-built £30 million building, containing 10,000 square feet of state-of-the-art labs for interview, social group observation, EEG/ERP, virtual reality, psychobiology, eye-tracking, pain, cross-modal, and computerised testing.

We are recruiting for Lecturers and Teaching Fellows in Psychology. These posts will support our research and teaching related to forensic psychology, including topics related to developmental, cognitive, neurological, and social issues (e.g., abuse, stigma, trauma).  For the Lecturer posts, research excellence should be demonstrated broadly related to forensic psychology, alongside a capacity to teach in this topic area at postgraduate and undergraduate levels. Full-time, part-time, and job share applications will be considered.

The University was ranked 12th overall in the UK in REF2014. The Department was recently ranked 1st in the Guardian league table and 2nd in the Complete University Guide (in association with The Independent), and The Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide.
