This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to expand their management and leadership skills to join the Finance and Procurement Office team as a Financial Accountant with responsibility for, amongst other things, leading the University’s Payroll and Pensions function.

This team is responsible for the compliant processing of payments to all University staff, statutory bodies and pension schemes, along with several related organisations. You will lead and develop the team, in addition you will need to build positive relationships across the University.  You will have responsibility for the development of improved processes and functionality supporting the HR and Payroll function. Pension matters have an increasingly higher profile and advising management and members of changes in the way they operate is important part of this role.  Finally you will be part of the team preparing financial and management statements for the University.  

This represents an exciting opportunity for someone to develop their career at the University.

The University is keen to attract the very best candidate, and would consider altering duties of the role for somebody who wished to work less than 5 days per week on a pro rata basis.
