Description :

Can you provide expertise and experience of maintaining the highest standards of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) within a research delivery environment?  Are you interested in Learning and Development?

The NIHR Clinical Research Network Coordinating Centre (CRNCC) has a contractual requirement to deliver Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training to all eligible research staff in the NHS.  We also have an extended remit to support appropriate research in social care and public health settings. In 2017/18 more than 40,000 researchers completed one of our GCP Education programmes, delivered using a mix of workshops and e-learning. The work of this post therefore impacts across the CRN and beyond with NIHR training in GCP having set the industry standard to enable health and social care research.

We are looking for a GCP Subject Expert to take a leading role as a Learning Advisor, supporting the research delivery workforce. You will work closely with the NIHR GCP Advisory Group; our faculty of over 300 GCP Facilitators; and external stakeholders (especially the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and the Health Research Authority (HRA)).  You will be a senior leader with sufficient experience and confidence to challenge the status quo, working with senior partners and stakeholders across a complex landscape which often lacks clarity.

We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic applicants who are energised by working

with our team of Digital Learning Designers to help develop learning programmes, resources and events that promote the highest standards of GCP across the Research Delivery community.

This is a part-time role (0.5 FTE), with flexibility in both working pattern and location
