Category: Admin/Clerical | Faculty/Division: Faculty of Business, Law and Social Sciences | School: Faculty of Business, Law and Social Sciences | Department: Faculty of Business, Law and Social Sciences | Location: Curzon Building | Post Type: Full Time | Closing Date: 14 Apr 2019 | The Business, Law and Social Sciences Careers+ Unit is seeking to recruit a current undergraduate Business, Law or Social Sciences student as a Faculty Employability Administrator (12 month Placement). The post holder will support the unit in the delivery of a full range of services to staff, students and employers. Tasks will include but are not limited to the following:  providing first level placement and employability guidance to students, maintaining and analysing data, sourcing appropriate placement and internship job opportunities, data inputting, updating Moodle sites, and creating and maintaining financial data. The student will also be required to ensure that placements and work experience opportunities are compliant with University requirements, this could involve reviewing employment contracts and risk assessments. It is envisaged that the placement student will create promotional material and support the unit in developing a social media strategy to encourage student engagement with the Careers+ team. The post holder will be based at the Curzon Building, City Centre Campus. Applicants should have the ability to work on their own initiative and possess a high level of attention to detail.  Having a flexible attitude to work and the ability to prioritise their work is an important part of this role.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential as the post holder will be expected to liaise confidently and professionally with employers, staff and students. A good understanding of a range of social media platforms is desirable. You may be required to support the Unit at Open Days and Applicant Visit Days which involve occasionally working at weekends.
