The role will have focus and be primarily based within the Digital Creative Print workshop the successful candidate will also be required to provide basic technical support for the wider Arts Design and Media Faculty. This role involves working with a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate students, who are studying to develop their knowledge and skills whilst using professional workshop and studio environments. You will be required to maintain a professional standard of support whilst working unsupervised, reporting back to senior technical support officers on a daily basis. During term time our facilities are available to students over extended periods, a key element of the role would be to ensure Health and Safety and professional practice is maintained by all stakeholders. The ability to work evenings and weekends is essential to the role. Facilities you would be required to support: Creative Print. Photography and TV, Radio Studios. Performance Workshop area. Post-production facilities. 3D workshop, CAD lab. Desirable attributes: Qualified to HND and/or with proven experience of working in a creative digital print or multidisciplinary Art and Media based environment. Basic experience with a range of software including Adobe CC (Premiere Pro, Audition, Photoshop, CAD). Excellent team working and communication skills. Be able to work with a range of service users at multiple skill levels across the University. A good working knowledge of current health & safety procedures and associated legislation. Normal hours of work during term time: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 13:00 – 21:00 Friday: 11:00 – 19:00 Saturday: 10:00 – 18:00 During non-term periods, the facilities are not open late or on weekends, so you would be required to work: Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00 As part of your application, please attach your CV.
