Are you looking for a career in Science Support? Would you like to work in a team that ensures our researchers and technicians have access to the best equipment, facilities and resources? 

You will carry out portable appliance electrical safety testing (PAT) and give assistance as necessary to the facilities and technical services team.

You will be experienced in Portable Appliance Electrical Safety testing and have a relevant qualification or equivalent training. You should also have 5 GCSEs A* - C (or equivalent) including English, Maths and at least one science subject. Good written and verbal communication skills are key to this role, and the ability to work accurately while following clear instructions is essential. 

You will be based in the faculty technical support team where our in-house experienced technicians will train you on all duties. Manual handling and small step ladder training will be provided as the position will include some lifting and manoeuvring of equipment and use of small step ladders.
