Description :

Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have an established background in Nanomagnetism? Do you want to further your career in one of the UKs leading research intensive Universities?

Working within the research team of Professor B J Hickey and Professor C H Marrows, you will contribute to this project, which aims to continue research in nanomagnetism, in particular studying metamagnetic phase transitions in ordered alloy thin films and their response to stimuli such as temperature, strain, doping, and electric and magnetic fields. The group are particularly interested in studying these transitions in a spatially resolved way, using both real and reciprocal space techniques.

You will have a PhD (or have submitted your thesis before taking up the role) in Condensed Matter Physics or a closely allied discipline and experience in fabricating and studying epitaxial ordered alloy thin films.
