Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have a background in Digital Education? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research intensive Universities?

You will work on a range of projects within Digital Education in the School of Education. In particular, you will work on projects related to Digital Technology in Higher Education, for example lecture capture and its relationship to student performance, and various projects exploring Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). The role is full time to cover a secondment until July 31st 2019.

With a successfully completed Degree/Masters (or about to submit) in a relevant field of study, you will have clear research interests in digital education, innovation in education technologies and Higher Education. 

You will provide general research support for the Digital Education research team, with a particular emphasis on quantitative research, as well as more general research skills. This will involve analysing large data sets using a range of statistical techniques including descriptive statistics, multivariate analysis and regression analysis. You will also be expected to carry out literature searches and reviews, and prepare drafts of papers and other research outputs. You will possess excellent analytical and writing skills and the ability to deal with a variety of tasks to set deadlines. The ability to work alone or as part of a team is essential, as are strong organisational skills. The post may involve some travel within the UK.
