Group Technician (fixed-term post) (CC6610)

We are looking for a skilled technician to join our research team in the Department of Physics at the University of Bath.  

Your role will principally be to provide technical support to a project developing new medical devices for clinical trials.  This will involve manufacturing and testing devices, and maintaining and calibrating test equipment.  The research team is part of a larger multi-university collaboration working with clinicians, engineers, scientists and regulatory experts to deliver new technologies into intensive care units, in order to better diagnose life-threatening lung conditions.  You will become a vital part of this team.

Training to follow standard operating protocols will be given, and the nature of the work will require manual dexterity and meticulous quality standards.  Accurate record keeping and updating of record files will be essential.

This position is initially offered full time (36.5 hours per week) for 15 months. Part-time working patterns can be offered.
