We are offering an exciting opportunity for somebody with suitable experience to join the Faculty of Physical Sciences & Engineering as Senior Administrative Officer for the Curriculum & Quality Assurance Team.

The Faculty Curriculum and Quality Assurance Team supports the Faculty in the preparation for validation of new undergraduate and postgraduate taught curriculum, student communications and representation, statutory and regulatory body monitoring, committee servicing and implementation of academic regulations and processes. The team also support the Faculty student complaints and academic appeals processes.

The wider teams organise administration for a range of taught and research programmes associated with our five schools, Chemistry, Engineering, Electronics & Computer Science, The Zepler Institute and Physics & Astronomy.  You will work closely with the Faculty Team Leader, Faculty Academic Registrar, and academic colleagues to support the delivery of student and academic administration through all stages of the annual QA cycle.

Major elements of the post will be to provide senior support to the Curriculum & Quality Assurance Team Leader to deliver an effective and efficient service to beneficiaries and stakeholders, applying a detailed knowledge of systems and processes and regulatory frameworks. To establish and maintain effective working relationships with academic staff within the Faculty and other senior colleagues in Professional Services.

You will be an excellent team player with experience and a proven ability to work proactively. You will be well organised and adaptable, taking a positive approach in reviewing processes and practices. You will possess excellent communication, organisational and inter-personal skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service is also required. You will also have experience of processing and analysing complex data sets using multiple systems.
