The role of Employee Relations Support Officer plays an important part in the University's employee relations function. The post holder will provide effective administrative support to pay, grading and promotions processes, as well as formal and informal trade union meetings. Research in relation to employment law and policy updates will also be required along with general support to the Employee Relations team.
This role provides a good opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in policy development, trade union consultation/negotiation mechanisms, supporting pay and grading processes, and other ad hoc projects.
The successful candidate will have a broad understanding of employment law with previous experience in an HR Department. Excellent organisational skills and experience of having supported formal meetings/committees will be essential.
This is a fixed term post covering maternity leave for up to one year.
