INTERNAL VACANCY

This vacancy is open to employees of the University of Nottingham only.

Applications are invited for the post of Lead for Systematic Review and Grade Guideline centre (Fixed term part time) based in the Division of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Nottingham, City Hospital, Nottingham (35% WTE) and in the School of Economics the University of Nottingham Ningbo Campus (35%WTE). 

The aim of this post is to drive teaching and collaborative research on clinical guidelines, primarily in China based at the Campus in Ningbo but also in Nottingham. This post will have an important role in leading the new Grade Centre based in Ningbo, and also to look to develop similar activities based in the UK campus. A key role of this post is to have a strategic role in developing collaborative connections for the new Institute in China by working with experts in this area in China. 

The candidate will lead the Systematic Review/Grade centre group within the new Nottingham China Health Institute. We anticipate that this centre will deliver high quality meta-research products and high impact clinical practice guidelines, which directly inform healthcare policy and influence clinical practice.

The role will include teaching UNNC undergraduates and graduate students and also a role in developing Continuing Professional Development services to health care professionals in Ningbo and other areas in China.

The Division of Epidemiology and Public Health in Nottingham has an active PhD programme and we anticipate that the new post will contribute to the supervision PhD students. The new post will have an active role in research and will establish themselves as an independent active researcher within the divisions in the UK and China. 

Candidates must have extensive experience of working in the area of Evidence based health care in China and an excellent working knowledge of systematic review methodology and the GRADE clinical guideline system. 

This post will be offered on a fixed term contract for a period of 4 years. This is part time, 26 hours per week, position.
