Description :

Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have a background in applied health research? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research intensive Universities?

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Research Assistant to work in the School of Healthcare on a major new programme of digital pathology research and innovation. Funded by Innovate UK, this project brings together a consortium of academic, clinical, and industry partners with a common vision – to create a world leading centre for digital pathology and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

A key work package in this project is concerned with the clinical adoption of artificial intelligence in digital pathology. Drawing on the principles of realist evaluation, the work package will involve undertaking a literature review to understand stakeholders’ ideas about how and in what contexts AI will become integrated into the work practice of histopathologists. These ideas will then be revised through interviews with histopathologists across multiple NHS Trusts.
